With the result, the Argentines ended up in the lead of Group E of the competition, getting a spot for the round of 16. With this, the Argentine team is in pot 1 of the Libertadores round of 16 draw, this Friday (27), at 1 pm, and cannot cross with Atlético, who are in the same pot.
With the defeat in Argentina, Deportivo Cali took 3rd place and will play in the Copa Sudamericana. Corinthians ended up with the second place in the group when they tied with Always Ready, in São Paulo, by 1 to 1.
