Fenerbahçe made it official today to have started talks with Jorge Jesus for the position of coach of the football team, in a short note published on its official website.
“We have started negotiations with Jorge Fernando Pinheiro de Jesus for the position of coach of the main football team”, said the Turkish club today, after having signaled the arrival of the coach to Istanbul during the early hours of the morning.
In the previous note on their official website, the Turkish runners-up explained that Jorge Jesus arrived on a private ‘charter’ accompanied by Fenerbahçe leaders and that he would stay in a hotel in Istanbul, where negotiations would continue.
The press has advanced that the 67-year-old Portuguese coach, who has been free since December, after not completing his second season at Benfica, will sign a one-year contract with Fenerbahçe.
