Isaak Touré signs with Marsella and leaves Guardiola to ‘see ships’
Isaak Touré, young French promise, signs with Olympique de Marsella and refuses Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Manchester City ‘s scouts were impressed by the talent of Souleymane Isaak Touré , a 19-year-old centre-back who played for Le Havre in France’s Ligue 2.
The reports received by the English club advised hiring the defender. So much so that the French press took the 2.06-meter-tall Touré for the Etihad for granted, but everything changed quickly.
This Thursday, Olympique de Marseille announced the signing of the player, leaving Pep Guardiola’s City in awe. The defender signs until 2027 and the club led by Jorge Sampaoli will pay just over five million euros.
Last season, Isaak Touré played 17 games with Le Havre and over a thousand minutes on the pitch. As for the France under-19 national team shirt, there were eight games, one goal scored and one assist.
