Emil Forsberg shows form before the World Cup qualifier – goal scorer in crush

With just under two weeks left until the World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic, Emil Forsberg is showing form.

The national team’s midfield star scored one goal and played until two when his Leipzig crushed the last Fürth away in the Bundesliga with 6-1.

Forsberg scored his fifth goal of the season when he outsmarted compatriot Andreas Linde in the Fürth goal after a corner variant. The goal meant 2-1 for Leipzig who first ended up in an early disadvantage against the last.

Then the goals rattled in at regular intervals.

A Forsberg in a gaming mood also played until both 5-1 which Mohamed Simakan nodded in and 6-1 through Christopher Nkunku.

Leipzig climbed to fourth place in the table, the last place for a Champions League ticket next season.

Sweden’s playoff semifinal in the World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic will be played at Friends arena in Solna on March 24. With a victory there, Poland is waiting away in a decisive match for a World Cup place.
