English Premier League Prediction

While sure wins are more common at lower levels of soccer, many bookmakers don’t take into account teams’ form when making Premier League predictions. Instead, they focus on head-to-head records between teams, ignoring recent form (which has been shown to be predictive of future results). As a result, most matches have been predicted as draws (67 percent), with only about 10 percent of predictions offering a potential edge to bettors—in other words, making bookies look like sure wins. Which team would you put your money on?

La Liga Predictions

In La Liga, reigning champion Real Madrid was brought back to reality by a Celta Vigo side that had lost its first two matches. La Liga is notoriously difficult to predict, with almost every year providing an upset or two on either side of Spain’s top tier. In 2015-16, Madrid will hope to reclaim its title as Barca begins life without Xavi and company; it could be one of soccer’s most fascinating seasons yet. Serie A Predictions

Since a three-way tie is mathematically impossible, it’s easy to say that Juventus will easily win Serie A with over 90 points. However, I think they will do better than that as there are several games coming up where they can pick up additional wins. In addition to taking care of business at home, they also have a midweek match against Cagliari—which should be an easy victory—and then they get Sassuolo at home again. They could run away with things if those results go their way and get them closer to 95 points or more.

Other top leagues

Europe’s top leagues include England’s Premier League, Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga and Italy’s Serie A. European football is undoubtedly where most of soccer betting activity happens. Other top leagues in other regions include Mexico’s Liga MX and Brazil’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

Lower Leagues

The lower leagues of European soccer are where you’ll find some of the world’s most exciting young talent. Take a look at last year’s Champions League final, which pitted Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid. Atletico’s front line included Antoine Griezmann and Jackson Martinez, both of whom had been playing professionally for just three years before making their way to Europe’s top table. Bundesliga teams have also been known to scout players from these leagues and even sign them on loan with an option to buy down the road—the Chelsea Football Club made a habit out of it during its recent run of success.
