Wesley Sneijder faces a return to Ajax . Director of football affairs Sven Mislintat has approached the Utrechter whether he is open to returning to the Amsterdam club. The news comes as no surprise. During his working period at Sparta, trainer Maurice Steijn already announced that he was very charmed by the former international and would like to offer him a position at Het Kasteel. Several conversations have taken place between Mislintat and Sneijder and this will happen several times in the near future to discuss the exact filling of the position. These talks are currently on hold because Sneijder’s mother passed away last week at the age of 59.
A few years ago, Sneijder made an attempt to follow the trainer’s training of the KNVB, but he soon stopped. ‘My wish was a bit of customization. More guidance towards managing a team.
