Chelsea take on Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League
The English football club “Chelsea” and the Spanish “Real” got into one pair in the 1/4 finals of the UEFA Champions League following the draw held on Friday.
The remaining pairs are formed as follows: Manchester City (England) – Atletico (Spain), Villarreal (Spain) – Bayern (Germany), Benfica (Portugal) – Liverpool (England).
Quarter-final couples are scheduled for April 5-6 and April 12-13.
In the semi-finals, the winner of the Chelsea – Real Madrid pair will meet the winner of the Manchester City – Atlético pair, in the other half-final match the winners of the other two pairs will play.
The final will take place on May 27 in Paris. Initially, it was supposed to take place in St. Petersburg, but was moved from this city.
The current winner of the tournament is Chelsea, whose fate has become vague due to sanctioned club owner Roman Abramovich. In the current draw, Chelsea played in the same group with Zenit St. Petersburg, beating them at home with a score of 1:0 and drawing in St. Petersburg – 3:3.
Benfica fought Spartak Moscow in qualifying, beating them both away and at home with the same score 2-0.
